1. Who we are

TextForKeeps is a product of GatherMemo LLC ("GatherMemo," "we," "us," or "our"), a Michigan limited liability company. We operate the TextForKeeps platform, which enables organizers to collect photo, video, and text memories from participants via SMS. Our primary website is textforkeeps.com.

2. Information we collect

• Organizer information: Name, email address, and Google account information (via OAuth) when you create an account.
• Participant information: Phone numbers submitted by participants via the TextForKeeps join page, opt-in status, and timestamps.
• User-submitted content: Photos, videos, and text messages submitted by participants in response to prompts.
• Usage data: Basic technical information such as IP addresses and interaction logs for troubleshooting purposes.

3. How we use your information

• To send SMS prompts to opted-in participants on behalf of the organizer
• To collect and organize participant responses
• To deliver collected content to the organizer's Google Drive or Dropbox
• To send transactional messages (opt-in confirmations, response confirmations)
• To improve and operate the TextForKeeps platform

4. SMS messaging

TextForKeeps sends SMS and MMS messages only to participants who have explicitly opted in. Participants opt in by visiting a unique event join page, entering their name and phone number, checking a consent checkbox, and replying YES to a confirmation SMS. Message frequency varies by event. Message and data rates may apply. Participants may opt out at any time by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• With organizers: Participant responses are delivered to the event organizer's designated cloud storage.
• Service providers: We use Twilio for SMS delivery, Supabase for data storage, and the Google Drive API for file delivery.
• Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

6. Data retention

Participant phone numbers and response data are retained for the duration of the event plus 90 days, after which they are deleted from our systems. Organizers are responsible for content stored in their own Google Drive or Dropbox accounts.

7. Your rights

Participants may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. To request deletion of your personal data, contact us at the email below. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Children's privacy

TextForKeeps is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify organizers of material changes via email. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
